KINSHIP digital is taking the Plastic Free July pledge

 

KINSHIP digital is excited to announce that we will be participating in Plastic Free July by the Plastic Free Foundation.

Plastic Free July is a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution – so we can have cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities. 

Plastic Free July isn’t just about buying a reusable cup or bag, it’s giving people the tools to change their habits, pause and think about how we as individuals can make an impact for the better and reduce our reliance on plastic.

As a team KINSHIP digital will be taking the Plastic Free July challenge. Each team member will come up with their own pledge for the month of July that they will follow.

We will also share our involvement on social media throughout the month. As well as sharing some great educational content! Not to mention a Plastic Pollution Trivia to test the team on their knowledge!

The Plastic Free July website has some great ways to get involved, as well as some great tips to get started:

  • Bring a reusable coffee cup or dine-in at your local café

  • Find plastic-free alternatives when buying fruit and veggies

  • Bring your own reusable shopping bags and help reduce plastic waste

  • Refuse plastic straws when purchasing a drink and BYO reusable alternative!

  • BYO reusable water bottles instead of buying plastic ones

  • Plan ahead and avoid pre-packed bread, rolls and baked goods

  • Avoid the plastic trays used for meat, fish and deli items

  • REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE!

Making a small change will collectively make a massive difference to our communities. You can choose to refuse single-use plastic in July (and beyond!). Best of all, being part of Plastic Free July will help you find great alternatives that can become new habits forever.
