A Journey of Discovery: My Internship Expedition with KINSHIP digital

Completing my bachelor's degree at the International College of Management Sydney (ICMS) was an accomplishment I cherished, but I knew there was an essential step remaining before I could fully embrace my aspirations. This step came in the form of a 600-hour internship, and it was during this search for the perfect opportunity that a familiar name emerged - KINSHIP digital. Thanks to the guidance of a fellow ICMS student, Romane, who was already making strides at KINSHIP, I was introduced to a realm where my passion for innovation and marketing could collide.

In the pages of my internship story, I embodied the role of a Customer Success Junior Intern at KINSHIP digital.

Unraveling My Role:

At KINSHIP digital, every day came with something new on my plate:

  • Social Media and Public Relations: From planning social media strategies to managing public relations, I learned how to balance digital voices and brand identity.

  • Electronic Direct Mail Marketing: I got to explore crafting emails that connect and resonate with KINSHIP’s client base.

  • Consulting and Value Realisation: Stepping into consulting and value realisation, I learnt how clients can transform with the right strategies.

Growing into Skills: Developing along the way

With every step I took at KINSHIP digital, I was growing in ways I had not imagined:

  • Navigating Business Dynamics and Embracing Flexibility: The ever-changing business landscape taught me to adapt swiftly and embrace flexibility as a guiding principle. As I moved through different projects and tasks, I learned to navigate the unpredictable currents of the digital world. This flexibility became a valuable skill, allowing me to seamlessly transition between varying tasks and responsibilities. Embracing this adaptability not only sharpened my decision-making skills but also boosted my confidence in handling unforeseen challenges.

  • Unleashing Creative Design: My time at KINSHIP digital uncovered a creative side I had not fully explored before. From graphic design to video editing, I ventured into unfamiliar territory with enthusiasm. Crafting visually appealing content for social media campaigns and marketing materials became an exciting challenge. As I experimented with design elements and honed my creative abilities, I gained a fresh appreciation for the power of visuals in conveying messages effectively. This journey into creative design not only expanded my skill set but also sparked a newfound passion for transforming ideas into captivating visuals.

  • Mastering Clear Communication: As I delved deeper into my role, I realized that clear communication was the cornerstone of effective collaboration. Expressing complex ideas in a simple and concise manner emerged as a crucial skill. I honed the art of crafting messages that resonated with diverse audiences. From conveying intricate concepts to presenting project updates, I found myself articulating thoughts with a newfound clarity. This skill not only enhanced my interactions within the team but also facilitated better communication with clients and partners.

Embracing Challenges and Gratitude

The KINSHIP team have been an incredible source of support throughout my journey, and their belief in me truly made a difference. As English is not my first language, I often faced a fear of expressing myself. However, despite this challenge, Kim, my manager, along with Caitlin and Alex, the directors, welcomed me into the KINSHIP family with open arms.

Their unwavering encouragement and guidance were like a gentle nudge, motivating me to tackle new challenges head-on. With their trust, I felt empowered to take on tasks that might have otherwise seemed overwhelming. Their mentorship was not just about giving instructions; it was about instilling confidence in my abilities and encouraging me to step up beyond my comfort zone. This team dynamic created an environment where I could learn, make mistakes, and grow with ease. Their faith in me bolstered my determination to succeed, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity they provided me to be a part of the KINSHIP digital family.
