Sysomos offers social media monitoring and analytics products that give insight needed to make smarter business and strategic decisions. Sysomos is part of Meltwater – now bringing together news and social media under one company, giving social data context while adding social engagement to news and media monitoring.
Sysomos was among the earliest players in the enterprise social media monitoring and analytics space (together with the likes of Radian6, which was later acquired by Salesforce). In 2010, the Toronto-based company was acquired by Marketwire. Sysomos regained its independence in 2015 when it split off from Marketwire. In April 2018 Meltwater, a pioneer of media intelligence and now Outside Insight, announced its acquisition of Sysomos.
The addition of Sysomos to Meltwater enables organisations to analyse social media, news and other human-generated content in one platform, furthering Meltwater’s mission to give businesses the insights from outside data, helping them stay ahead. Meltwater has indicated that Sysomos will continue to operate as a separate brand – within Meltwater’s Social Data Analytics division.
