My First ever Event at KINSHIP Digital

 

A dream of mine has always been to run events, so when it was my responsibility to run my first-ever event at KINSHIP I would be lying if I wasn’t a bit nervous.

With our partner Sprinklr being in town, just under two weeks and the event planning was officially underway. When time is short, how can we best foster information with those in our industry? Well, a breakfast user group is the answer!

So, what were our main objectives for this event?

  • Educate our customers on our partnership strategy with Sprinklr and how we are working together to drive customer value.

  • Communicating the critical challenges that will be faced in future government, and how can we rebuild trust.

  • The importance of an effective, organised communications plan in delivering concise information to citizens, and the need to consistently evaluate what's working.

  • To encourage collaboration and networking among different entities.

What better way to communicate our business strategy than through a speaker session. Speaking engagements are a great way to generate publicity and positive exposure, in addition to establishing thought leadership.

Not to mention an in-person event, with the opportunity to gain personal connections – emails, names, handshakes with well-connected people in our industry.

So why was this in-person event so special?

With domestic and international travel back, we were able to meet our partners from Sprinklr in person. With it being some of their first times in Australia, The National Museum of Australia was the venue of choice. Located right on the water’s edge, our breakfast event was surrounded by windows that offered an abundance of national light and views over Canberra’s Lake Burley Griffin.

Hosting an environment where a group of people will convene in one particular place for one particular purpose at a given time, ultimately leaves a lasting memorable impression.

With the support of the team at KINSHIP and Sprinklr working towards the organisation and fulfilment of the breakfast event, has given me some great industry experience that I will take on for the rest of my career. As the common saying goes, “Do what you love and never work a day in your life”.
